Waste Management Solutions
AER offers a full range of services to manage waste produced by businesses and industries. We can assess your facility’s processes and wastes, and work with you to determine the most practical and cost-efficient method to handle your waste streams.
Providing our clients with superior customer service and the most creative solutions since 2000, Appalachian Environmental Resources has the RESOURCES to find the best disposal and recycling options available to suit your needs.
Non-Hazardous Waste Disposal – AER conducts milk runs to various client’s facilities to pick up non-hazardous waste. We then transport the waste to a permitted processing facility. The waste will either be solidified and sent to landfill, sent through wastewater treatment, or used for energy and recycling purposes. A certificate of disposal will be available to show that all wastes are disposed of properly.
Hazardous Waste Disposal – Once wastes are characterized as hazardous, we provide information on the proper handling, storage, and the options available for disposal. AER has developed a network of licensed hazardous waste processing facilities for most hazardous waste streams.
Clean-out and Remediation Services – Appalachian Environmental Resources provides a full range of Clean-Out Services related to normal manufacturing processes, such as tank and pond clarification cleanouts. We also provide clean-out services for the closing of manufacturing plants and other facilities. In addition, we can provide fast-response Remediation Services in the event of spills, leaks or other workplace incidents.
Recycling – AER works with several licensed recycling facilities to offer green solutions to your waste. We can remove and recycle many items, such as:
- Drums and IBC Totes
- Used Oil
- Batteries
- Fluorescent lamps, incandescent bulbs, and ballasts
- Transformers (PCB & Non-PCB)
- Computer Components (CPUs, monitors, and printers)
Lab Pack Services – AER offers expert classification, handling, and disposal of obsolete, out-of-date, off-spec, or excess chemicals or products.
Solvent Recovery – Solvent Recovery is a very exciting option for those customers who use solvents in their manufacturing process. It’s a win-win method that actually saves the customer money as well as helps protect the environment. Solvent Recovery is a process in which a mobile distillation center processes spent solvents at the customer’s site, in runs of 1000 gallons or more. After processing, the cleaned solvent is returned to the customer for reuse. It not only saves on the cost of virgin solvent, but also on the handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous chemicals. If you have solvent waste allow us the opportunity to review your solvents to see if we can offer you significant savings versus the cost of virgin product.
AER provides several options for the disposal of waste generated by its customers. We work with each customer to identify, qualify, and profile their waste streams, and to determine the best way to manage those waste streams, through disposal, recycling, or reuse.
