About US
A dedicated team. Proven values.
For more than 25 years, we’ve helped businesses protect their people, stay compliant, and do the right thing, with the professional dignity and respect every client deserves.
OUR STORY
How it started — and why we're still here.
In 2001, two guys in Kingsport lost their jobs. Instead of panic, they got practical: they knew environmental work, they were good at it, and businesses needed help. So they hung out a shingle and started brokering waste.
Then a client needed help with air quality. Another needed water compliance. Someone down the road needed safety consulting. One service became two, then four, then a full environmental, health, and safety practice, all built from what clients actually needed.
That’s still how AER works. We didn’t grow from a boardroom strategy. We grew because clients kept asking, and we kept answering. Often, when someone in the region lost a job, the Lord brought them to us with skills our clients needed, sometimes before we knew the need existed. It was provision all around: for the person looking for work, for our company, and for the clients we ended up serving better because of them.
Twenty-five years in, the team is bigger and the experience runs deep. But some things never changed — we show up, stay engaged, and treat your operation like it matters. Because to us, it does. We’re not just another EHS firm. We’re the team that picks up the phone, knows your name, and measures our success by yours.
What we believe.
These aren’t just words on a wall. They’re how we operate every day, every job, every decision.
